Getting your nutrition right is paramount for overall health and body composition goals.

Foods and drinks we consume on a regular basis provide nutrients to keep your body functioning optimally and play a pivotal role in our body’s well being. Our muscles, bones, and organ tissue are sustained and repaired from the nutrients we put into our bodies, so it’s important that we’re mindful of what we eat.

Our Accredited Practicing Dietitian will educate, motivate, and support you while developing a personal nutritional road map. You will talk about your medical history, lifestyle, and weight goals to create a plan that meets your body’s needs without discouraging you or keeping you from some of life’s tastiest treats!

Why should I see a dietitian?

I want to do something about my weight.

  • Would you like to get fit and healthy but are confused about the right eating approach for you?
  • Are you tired of yo-yo dieting and want to learn the proven lifestyle habits for permanent weight loss?
  • Are you experiencing the ‘middle age spread’, where your waist measurement is more than 80 cm if you are female or 94 cm if you are male?

I want to reach my peak performance and optimal body composition.

  • Are you a recreational or professional athlete who needs to change body composition for performance?
  • Are you competing and need pre-competition and race day eating advice?
  • Do you need advice on supplementation and appropriate training loads for various sports including: triathlon, bodybuilding, body sculpting, dance, swimming, cycling, running and team sports?

I suffer from a chronic illness.

  • Do you have diabetes or trouble keeping your sugar levels within the desirable range?
  • Do you need to take medication for high cholesterol or blood pressure?
  • Are you at risk of osteoporosis or have a family history of cancer?
  • Do you regularly experience symptoms of irritable bowel, such as constipation or bloating?
  • Are you living with the discomfort of indigestion and reflux?
  • Are you struggling to get pregnant and have a history of PCOS and insulin resistance?

Make friends with food.

Take the guesswork out of eating healthy and losing weight.

A nutrition consultation starts with a review of your medical history, including any medications and supplements you’re currently taking. Next we’ll learn about your lifestyle to understand the stress levels, sleep patterns, energy levels, exercise, and gastrointestinal function that are all a part of your health.

Your Initial Consult

We develop strategies and an easy to follow plan to overcome common physical and mental barriers. We listen to what you need in order to provide you with the best information and plan to achieve optimal health and performance.

You will receive detailed instructions on what to eat and a meal plan, including tips, tricks and targets to reach your goals. No quirky foods, unrealistic fad diets, or weird training programs, just things that can put into practice quickly, effectively and get great results.

We strive to make diet and nutritional consultations informative, encouraging, and most importantly, helpful to our patients.

Your Progress / Follow Up Consult

Your follow up appointment is crucial to empower you with all the relevant information and practical advice you will need to make healthy choices. We build on the information you are already familiar with and adjust the content to target your priorities.

The number of review sessions is determined by your personal needs and motivational level. Research shows that regular reviews with a qualified dietitian help people increase their compliance and better achieve their goals, compared to doing it alone.

What are the benefits of seeing a nutritionist?

A nutrition consult is foremost a partnership—it is not a lecture! Nutritionists don’t just tell you what to do to improve your diet; we help you set and achieve your health goals. Flexibility is key and we begin with changes that will have the most impact and from there incorporate strategies that make the most sense for your lifestyle.

  • Your own personalised nutritional plan which will include any dietary preferences and cooking habits
  • Accountability and support is available via various online platforms
  • Help sort out messy head syndrome. We can help put all the information out there into simple terms that will get you to your goals.
  • Get the support you need to succeed. Having a plan and an accountability structure with a practitioner that is there to support you through the journey is the key to long-term success.
  • Maximise your efforts. Often it’s only a matter of slightly tweaking your current regime to get big changes with the least amount of effort!
